Scores and recommendations are generated based on the property details, floor plan, images, and other information submitted by the user. We do not independently verify this information for accuracy or completeness, and the quality of any score or report is directly dependent on the accuracy of what is submitted. Once your property details are set, the scoring step itself is deterministic: two identical sets of inputs run through the exact same version of our computation engine will produce the exact same score. Where you upload an image, the details read from it (such as outlines, rooms and directions) are extracted using automated tools that may not produce identical results each time, which is why we ask you to review and confirm them. See the “Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence” section of our Terms of Service. We do not update the engine often, so recalculating a property will usually give you the same result. However, from time to time we do refine and improve the underlying engine as our understanding of Vastu principles deepens and as we improve the underlying models that power the Vastuscore™. Because of this:

  • Re-running the same property, floor plan, or plot at a later date may produce a different score, rating, or remedy list than a previous report generated for that same property;
  • A change in score over time does not mean either the earlier or the later report was wrong — it reflects an improvement or refinement to our methodology, not an error;
  • We are under no obligation to notify you of, retroactively apply, re-issue, or refund any previously generated report as a result of engine updates; and
  • Reports reflect the state of our computation engine, and the information you provided, as of the date the report was generated — not any future date.
