Most Vastu calculators tell you what direction a room should face and give you a score. This calculator goes one layer deeper — it tells you why a placement works or doesn't, using the ancient science of Panch Tatwa (Sanskrit: पञ्च तत्त्व, the Five Elements).
In Vastu Shastra, every direction zone of a home is governed by one of five cosmic elements — Agni (Fire), Jal (Water), Prithvi (Earth), Vayu (Air), and Akash (Space). Every room type also has an elemental energy requirement — a kitchen needs fire energy to support metabolism and cooking, a bedroom needs earth energy for stability and rest, a pooja room needs space energy for spiritual clarity. When the element of the zone matches the energy need of the room, the home is in Panch Tatwa harmony. When they conflict, it creates what Vastu classifies as a dosha — an energetic imbalance that can affect health, relationships, finances, and wellbeing over time.
Unlike a general Vastu score, this calculator is designed for people who already live in their homeand want to understand what is causing specific problems — or who are planning a new layout and want to get the room placement right from the start. For every room-zone combination it gives you a 0–100 compatibility score, a plain-language explanation rooted in classical Vastu texts, and — where the placement is challenging — a list of proven Vastu remedies you can apply without structural changes.
