How Your Vastu Score Is Calculated

Your Vastuscore™ is not generated by a general-purpose AI model. It comes from a custom-built scoring engine we designed specifically for Vastu Shastra evaluation — here's how it works.

A custom-built engine, not generic AI

We deliberately chose not to run Vastu evaluation through a general-purpose AI model. General AI can be unpredictable — the same property could score differently from one run to the next — and its outputs can carry hidden bias that has nothing to do with Vastu principles. Evaluating a home is too consequential for that kind of guesswork, so we built our own transparent, purpose-made scoring engine instead.

Grounded in classical Vastu Shastra

Our scoring rules were developed by studying classical Vastu Shastra texts and widely referenced traditional literature, then comparing how different schools of thought interpret the same principles. Where interpretations differ, we cross-checked them against each other and distilled them into a single, structured system we believe reflects sound Vastu Shastra. It's a living system — we keep refining it as our understanding deepens.

What we evaluate

Every report looks at your property's adherence to Vastu Shastra across Health, Prosperity, Harmony, and Success, using the same fundamentals classical Vastu Shastra is built on:

• The eight directions, and how each zone of the property aligns with them
• The Brahmasthan — the property's sacred centre — and how clear or obstructed it is
• Room-by-room placement and orientation, for floor plans
• Plot shape, and any cuts or extensions on a plot or boundary
• The main entrance's direction relative to the rest of the property
• The life aspect tied to each of the 8 zones — for example North-East to wisdom and spirituality, or South-West to relationships and strength — so your score reflects impact across every area of life those zones represent

These are well-established Vastu Shastra concepts, not something proprietary to us — what's custom is how our engine weighs and combines them into a single score.

The principle, not the formula

Not every zone carries equal weight. Classical Vastu Shastra consistently treats certain directions — most notably the North-East and South-West — as more significant than others, and our engine reflects that same relative priority. For Combined Analysis, where a plot and floor plan are evaluated together, the engine also accounts for how the two interact.

We don't publish the exact weighting, multipliers, or interaction logic behind these rules. That's a deliberate choice — it's the part of our methodology we treat as proprietary, and keeping it private also means a score can't be reverse-engineered or gamed. What we will always stand behind is the underlying principle, which comes from traditional Vastu Shastra, not something we invented.

Understanding your Vastuscore™

The Vastuscore™ is a number from 0 to 100 that reflects how closely a property adheres to Vastu Shastra principles as our engine evaluates them. Higher is better:

Consistent, not random

Because our engine applies the same structured rules every time, the same property with the same details always produces the same Vastuscore™. There's no randomness and no run-to-run drift — a deliberate design choice, not an accident.

Where AI fits in

The one place we do use AI is narrow and optional: helping detect room boundaries when you upload a floor plan image, purely to speed up data entry. You can always review and correct what it detects before scoring. It never touches the actual Vastu evaluation — that always runs through our own custom-built engine.

What a Vastuscore™ doesn't replace

A Vastuscore™ gives you a fast, consistent read on how a property aligns with Vastu Shastra, based on the details you provide. It isn't a substitute for an in-person consultation with a Vastu expert — particularly for unusual properties with irregular plot shapes, multiple additions over time, mixed-use spaces, or site factors like slope or neighbouring structures that a floor plan or plot outline alone can't fully capture.
